His smile was easy but hid a twinge of nerves. Her eyes were glittering as she dressed, thinking no doubt about meeting her groom at the bottom of the stairs in just a few more minutes. She rounded the corner and their eyes met for the first time on their wedding day. Time stood still. She was stunning, and he couldn’t wait to talk to her, make her laugh and begin their life together.
