Kacy + Matt | How to Handle Rain on a Wedding Day

In

Kacy smiled and shrugged, “If it rains, it rains. I even bought cute umbrellas!”.

My heart swelled with happiness because she was totally right. Rain on a wedding day doesn’t nessesarily ruin the day,  it simply adds an additional layer. It means that you get to snuggle with your groom under a cute umbrella, giggling after saying your vows. It means that your pictures will be free from harsh midday shadows and squinty eyes. It means that the soft pink and gold tones you chose for your details will play well with the foggy landscape. And it means that when we find a pop of colorful daffodils in the  mountains you better believe we’re going to take advantage of them!

Matt and Kacy celebrated their vows at the historic Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church and Beau and I were so honored to capture it with their friends and family. Watching them interact during their engagement session last year we knew they were perfect for each other and that a little rain on a wedding day would only add to their sparkle.

Thank you Kacy and Matt for trusting us on such a special day–and congratulations again!
