Their wedding day had finally arrived. As I quietly picked up my camera Takira was nervously fidgeting with her hair while her bridesmaids slipped her into her whimsical ball gown. She looked down, hands on her waist, and sighed happily. One final zip and she instantly began to move like a princess, graceful and strong. One moment she was tearfully hugging her mom and the next she was cracking jokes and giggling as her sister helped her into her lace Louboutin heels. Sidney’s mom lovingly shared the hair pins that she wore on her wedding day, finishing Takira’s ensemble in the Stratton Hall suite. They had waited so long and the day unfolded with natural ease and joy. They were finally moving towards the moment she and Sidney had dreamed about on the patio of Stratton Hall. One last peek into the mirror and Takira smiled contentedly, turned, and glided towards her ever after.
We adored working with these two over the past few years (check out their cute engagement session). Their Stratton Hall wedding was truly a perfect representation of their fun loving, strong and adventurous spirits. The ceremony, the details, their exchanges, their friends and family, and the dancing…oh lawd, the dancing! 🙂 It was unforgettable and we can’t wait to work with them again soon on their Day After session (stay tuned).
