A warm breeze played in the tall river grass on the banks, teasing the wisps of her hair and enveloping them as they stood on the green grass. Andrew glanced back at Meredith while she held onto his arm, wrapping herself around his frame. We all fell silent and let the moment linger. The hustle of the day was over and it was finally just the two of them. Andrew turned, took Meredith into his arms, and her relaxed laughter melted any stress that may have remained.
This was their moment to pause. To really see each other. And to revel in their marriage, now only about one hour old.
He took her hand and the evening light bounced off of their silhouettes as they meandered along the ridge towards their reception. We just smiled quietly and knew that we were in the presence of a love everlasting.
