She was still. The morning rain had stopped and a quiet breeze played with her veil, enveloping Karry with the fresh scent of summer. Her smile was calm and her gaze was steady. Yet beneath the stillness her heart was fluttering with excitement. She had waited years for this moment and it was finally unfolding before her.
Deep breaths. Small fidgets. Moving forward.
As if in a dream Karry glided down the stone path towards her best friend. She reached out for his shoulder and Buddy quietly turned, finally locking eyes with his gorgeous bride. It was more than he ever imagined and he wrapped his arms tightly around her shoulders, trying to swallow the lump in his throat. They laughed together, enjoying the moment. This was their moment. And together they were content to simply be still.
We were so honored to capture Buddy and Karry’s Goldsboro North Carolina wedding last month at St. Paul UMC. These two are amazing and Beau and I loved photographing such a special day for them.
