Boudoir…the word has been a hot topic these past two years and we are thrilled that so many of our brides and bride-to-be’s have contacted us for their exclusive Unbridaled Boudoir photo sessions! If you are new to the concept, drop us a line because we would love to show you some samples of what to expect. The terms of every boudoir session we photograph are as follows:
1. Girls only!
2. Focus on what makes you feel most beautiful as a woman. We’ll do a pre-session consultation to discuss ideas, questions, or concerns (Tip: Many brides choose to add their Unbridaled session on before their bridal portrait session in order to take full advantage of their hair and makeup designers!)
3. Have F-U-N! This is a time to celebrate your sensuality as a strong and confident bride, mommy or wife– just be ready to let your playful side shine!
Call the office today for your free consult. These sessions are great wedding, anniversary or birthday presents for your groom and hubby!

So, I know its February and all (where is this year going already?!) but I wanted to give a major shout out to my BFF, partner in crime and hubby Beau!
Many of you know that Beau turned the big 3-0 in 2009. As the second decade of his life came to a close he made it a goal to run his very first marathon by the end of the year! In April of last year he joined thousands of fellow runners in Nashville for the Country Music Marathon (while also raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Chattanooga) and successfully completed his first half marathon–well on his way!
Dum Dum Dummmmm! Drum Roll please…..This past December, a mere 4 days before Christmas, Beau rocked his first full marathon in Jacksonville, FL! I am so proud of him, words don’t do it justice. Two of Beau’s strengths are his focus and determination. He is a crazy good planner that knows how to reach his milestones, one step at a time. Marathons are a great fit for him (unfortunately my old knees won’t be doing any 26.2 runs in this life) and I can’t wait to celebrate with him on his next big race! Congrats Babe–you do me proud!

Mile 20–so happy that my family could join me in cheering him on!

Don’t worry, the beard was finally ditched the day after his race–whew!

Hello 2010! We were so excited to start this year off with a bang by being commissioned to photograph Brynn and Josh’s special day here in Chattanooga. The details were timeless and the Bride and Groom were positively in love! I especially loved photographing their first meeting–I admit, Josh’s excitement made me get a little teary eyed! lol!
Brynn and Josh have a super sweet story–having originally met on EHarmony several years ago they fell more and more in love, with Brynn deciding to take a job here in Chattanooga and the two of them finally moving to tie the knot with a proposal at the Chickamauga battlefield (check out their engagement pictures!). Both have become great friends to us over the years and being a part of their big day was such an honor. Thank you Josh and Brynn, we can’t wait to see your pictures from Cancun!

As all of you already know this past week has been filled with both stories of sorrow as well as miracles, acts of kindness and compassion for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. I believe that charity work is one of the highest callings on this earth and I am enthusiastic about trying to give back, both to our local neighbors and for the greater good of mankind. My frustration this past week was born out of my inabliity to personally give more for relief in Haiti. I wrestled with how a wedding photographer could best contribute to those in such a time of need and it wasn’t until this weekend that I finally realized the power that I have as a business owner.
That being said, I am thrilled about our latest decision! From now until the end of February Daisy Moffatt Photography will be donating 10% of every wedding or portrait session booked with us to the charity of your choice. I am so excited to be able to join hands with our couples and clients while making an impact on the world around us.
Please contact us now for more information, we are very much looking forward to this opportunity and I know that when we focus our resources on the greater good lives will be saved. Spread the word and lets make an impact together!
Thank you,
Daisy

Christmas is racing towards us and we are so excited about the holiday portraits with our cleveland/chattanooga families! It just occurred to me tonight that I haven’t announced our holiday deadline yet. Ack! Thanks Dagan for the reminder!
So without further ado, this year our holiday deadline will be December 11! Prints ordered by this date will be ready in time for Christmas. We also gift certificates so don’t forget these little puppies–they make great gifts too! Books and canvas prints may still be ordered, please contact the studio for delivery info, etc.
And lastly, if you need your event re-released we are offering FREE RELEASES until December 11. Just drop us a line and let us know!
Thanks everyone and happy shopping!

So, this past year has been amazing. Period. Of course this week is Thanksgiving (wait wasn’t it just Easter?) and while I try very hard throughout the year to routinely pause and take in our blessings with thankfulness, I feel like this holiday requires us to directly express our gratefulness even MORE towards those around us.
We’ve grown immensely this year as photographers, husband and wife, and of course business owners. Our clients are incredible as ever and that is NO exaggeration. We’d be nothing without them. They repeatedly trust us with life’s most important events–constantly given us the freedom and opportunities to create art from life. I won’t lie, we’ve been neck deep in holiday orders, album designs and proofs and it can sometimes be difficult to focus on anything else. But as I have worked this week, I have been looking back over the past weddings and portrait sessions we’ve captured I am blown away by the awesomeness (there’s no better word for it!) of the families that we’ve been privileged to work with. So as 2009 quickly rolls to an end all I can say is thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.
You rock, period.
XO,
Daisy
